Travel Radiology Technologist
Role: A Radiology Technologist (Rad Tech) is responsible for operating diagnostic imaging equipment, ensuring accurate images for physician interpretation, and preparing patients for radiologic procedures.
Key Duties
- Verify patient identity, review imaging requests, and explain procedures to provide reassurance
- Follow physician orders for specific imaging areas
- Position patients correctly and adjust equipment appropriately
- Implement radiation safety precautions to minimize exposure
- Calibrate imaging devices and prepare results for review
- Maintain precise patient records and utilize PACS systems
Qualifications & Skills
- Minimum of 1 year of radiologic experience
- Required certifications: ARRT (R), BLS, and state-specific licensing if applicable
- Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lean for extended periods
