Job Details\n \n Position: Labor & Delivery Registered Nurse (Travel Nurse) \n Employment Type: Travel Nursing Assignment \n Location: Durham, NC 27710 \n Start Date: 09/08/2026 \n Duration: 13 weeks \n Shift Duration: 12-hour nights \n Hours Per Week: 36 \n Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,360 - $2,480 \n Schedule: Open availability required; every other weekend required \n Floating: May float between High Risk and Labor & Delivery \n Charting System: Epic \n Job Requirements\n \n 2 years of recent Labor & Delivery RN experience required \n Active North Carolina RN license or Compact RN license in hand \n BLS, ACLS, and NRP certifications required \n Epic charting experience required \n Prior travel nursing experience required \n Strong clinical judgment, adaptability, and comfort in a high-acuity obstetric setting \n Ability to provide a recent supervisory reference \n Must be able to meet onboarding and compliance deadlines \n Responsibilities\n \n Provide compassionate, evidence-based care to antepartum, laboring, postpartum, and high-risk obstetric patients \n Monitor and manage patients receiving magnesium, insulin, and PCA therapies \n Assist with inductions, spontaneous labor, epidural management, and post-birth recovery \n Support operative obstetric care including cesarean sections, D&C, D&E, cerclage, and OR recovery \n Care for high-risk neonates and support newborn stabilization during the recovery period \n Manage hemorrhage interventions and assist with emergency obstetric response as needed \n Perform fetal monitoring, triage, patient education, and discharge teaching \n Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure safe, coordinated patient care \n Why You'll Love This Travel RN Job\n This Durham healthcare job offers the opportunity to expand your Labor & Delivery nursing experience in a busy, supportive environment with advanced technology and a meaningful patient population.
