Travel Outpatient Physical Therapist - $2,267 per week

American Traveler is seeking a travel Outpatient Physical Therapist for Surprise, Arizona. Job Details Title: Travel Physical Therapist – Outpatient Location: Surprise, AZ Start Date: June 29, 2026 Duration: 13 weeks Hours: 40 per week Shift: 8‑hour days (8:00 AM – 4:30 PM) Employment Type: Travel Requirements Minimum 1 year of recent outpatient physical therapy experience. Active Arizona PT license required prior to start date; proof of pending licensure acceptable. Current BLS certification required if applicable. Experience with modalities and therapeutic exercise equipment. Ability to perform Functional Capacity Evaluations (FCEs), Work Hardening Evaluations, and post‑offer employment testing (e.g., WorkSTEPS or APET). Familiarity with ergonomic evaluations and job analysis. Understanding of billing codes across various payer types, including workers' compensation. Responsibilities Evaluate and treat patients via physician referral or direct access, focusing on outpatient orthopedic and occupational health cases. Supervise Physical Therapy Assistants (PTAs) and PT technicians. Manage scheduling, phone management, and referral intake. Communicate weekly with rehab nurses and submit progress notes to referring physicians. Participate in business development and marketing to referral sources, physicians, and case managers when patient load permits.
