Salary: $120,000 - $130,000 + Relocation Assistance

Overview:

A well-respected healthcare facility located north of Austin, TX is seeking a Nurse Manager for their Medical ICU. This is a full-time, day shift position with no weekend requirements. The facility is part of a large healthcare network and offers a range of services, including trauma care, stroke, and chest pain centers, with a commitment to providing high-quality patient care.

Job Summary:

Under the general supervision of the unit’s Director or designee, the Nurse Manager will oversee and coordinate the functions of the Medical ICU. Responsibilities include assessing the quality of patient care, coordinating nursing staff assignments, and ensuring departmental goals are met. The Nurse Manager will work closely with the management team and medical staff to ensure efficient, high-quality care delivery. This position also involves supervising and providing ongoing staff education, managing conflict resolution, and overseeing performance evaluations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee all functions of the ICU during designated shifts
• Collaborate with the management team to assess patient care quality
• Ensure nursing staff assignments meet patient care and service needs
• Maintain communication with other departments and medical staff
• Supervise direct patient care personnel and manage staff performance
• Maintain high standards for patient care and compliance with core measures

Qualifications:

• Required:
• Registered Nurse with a BSN from an accredited nursing school
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification
• Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification
• Minimum of 2 years of leadership experience in an acute care ICU setting
