We are seeking a compassionate and caring Activity Aide to join our team at Sapphire at Northwoods in Belvidere, IL. As an Activity Aide , you will play a vital role in enhancing the quality of life for our patients by promoting socialization, recreation, and overall well-being.

About the Role:

• Activity Aide : Support the activity department in planning, implementing, and leading activities for residents, including games, events, and exercises

• Patient-Centered Care : Engage with residents to understand their interests and preferences, and tailor activities to meet their unique needs and abilities

• Teamwork : Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized care plans that promote resident independence and autonomy

• Documentation : Maintain accurate records of resident participation and progress, and assist with data collection and reporting

Responsibilities:

• Assist with planning and leading activities, including arts and crafts, music therapy, and recreational games

• Encourage resident participation and engagement in activities, promoting socialization and interaction

• Support resident mobility and exercise programs, including walking clubs and stretching exercises

• Assist with mealtime activities, such as feeding and hydration, and provide assistance with daily living tasks as needed

• Provide emotional support and companionship to residents, including listening to their concerns and providing reassurance

• Possesses excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with residents, families, and team members

• Is flexible and able to adapt to changing priorities and schedules

• Is willing to learn and take direction from the activity department team
