Senior Accountant

A well-established organization that continues to expand its footprint in managed IT, healthcare technology, audiovisual, and security solutions is hiring a Senior Accountant for the construction industry. Job Title: Senior Accountant (Construction Industry) Salary: $95,000 - $100,000 per year. Responsibilities Preparation and consolidation of financial statements in accordance with GAAP. Analyzing and reporting on financial status, including income statement variances, communicating financial results to management, budget preparation and analysis. Overseeing the financial inventory control process. Improving systems and procedures and initiating corrective actions. Establishing and maintaining fiscal files and records to document transactions. Managing and complying with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings. Ensuring quality control over financial transactions and financial reporting. Working closely with project management teams to create and optimize financial strategies. Performing budgeting and forecasting functions, including variance analysis and commentary. Assisting with the preparation of year‑end accounts and statutory accounts. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. Certified Public Accountant or Certified Management Accountant designation preferred. Minimum of 5 years of accounting experience, preferably in the construction industry. Proven experience with annual budgeting and forecasting. Solid understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP). Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, with advanced Excel skills. Experience with accounting software and databases. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
