Litigation Attorney

InfraHire is looking for an Litigation Attorney in Concord, NC. Job Description: This is a hybrid, full-time role for an attorney who is comfortable taking ownership of litigation matters from initial case assessment through resolution. The ideal candidate will have strong courtroom skills, excellent written advocacy, and the ability to manage an active caseload while maintaining clear and responsive communication with clients. The position offers significant hands-on responsibility, including motion practice, depositions, hearings, discovery, settlement negotiations, and trial preparation. Responsibilities Manage civil and commercial litigation matters from intake through resolution. Evaluate claims, defenses, evidence, and legal issues to develop case strategy. Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, discovery requests, discovery responses, and other litigation documents. Conduct legal research and prepare written analysis on complex litigation issues. Take and defend depositions of parties, witnesses, and experts. Prepare clients and witnesses for depositions, hearings, mediation, and trial. Appear in court for hearings, conferences, motions, and other proceedings. Participate in trial preparation, including witness examination, exhibit preparation, evidentiary issues, and trial strategy. Negotiate settlements and participate in mediations and other dispute-resolution proceedings. Manage discovery, deadlines, court filings, and case calendars. Communicate regularly with clients regarding case status, strategy, risks, and next steps. Work directly with opposing counsel, courts, experts, and other professionals involved in litigation matters. Collaborate with paralegals, legal assistants, and other attorneys to ensure cases are handled efficiently and accurately. Maintain organized case files and ensure compliance with court rules and internal firm standards. Qualifications Active North Carolina law license in good standing required. Prior experience handling civil, commercial, business, or related litigation matters . Strong understanding of civil procedure, evidence, discovery, and litigation strategy. Experience drafting substantive motions and other court filings. Courtroom experience, including hearings and motion practice. Experience taking and defending depositions. Trial preparation experience; first- or second-chair trial experience is highly valued. Excellent legal research, writing, analytical, and advocacy skills. Strong verbal communication and client-management abilities. Ability to independently manage multiple matters, deadlines, and competing priorities. High level of attention to detail and professional judgment. Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented law firm environment.
