Schedule

4x9.5 schedule: 6am - 4pm (30 min break) for 3 days and 6am - 3:30pm (30 min break) for 1 day.

Job Description

The Dual Modality CT Tech/X-ray Tech is responsible for maintaining patient confidence and trust while performing diagnostic imaging exams. The role requires proficiency in Cat Scan Imaging and X-ray examinations, including pediatric considerations, and adherence to safety protocols. The technician must ensure compliance with departmental policies, maintain work area cleanliness, and address the needs of all patient demographics.

Responsibilities

• Perform Cat Scan Imaging Exams and produce accurate radiographs as directed.
• Utilize pediatric immobilization devices while observing safety precautions.
• Complete required documentation including informed consent and patient charts.
• Check and maintain equipment, supplies, and accessories regularly.
• Assess patient needs, especially for adult and geriatric populations.
• Provide support to patients, addressing fears and apprehensions regarding exams.
• Maintain orderliness and cleanliness of work areas.
• Observe bio-safety and radiation safety rules and regulations.
• Perform related duties in PACS and maintain adherence to established policies and procedures.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• High School Diploma or Equivalent.
• Graduate of a program in Radiologic Technology.
• Current NYSDOH License and ARRT certification required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from AHA preferred.
