Heavy Equipment Field MechanicJob Type: Full-Time | Field-BasedPay Rate: $28-$35/hr (Based on Experience) Schedule: Monday – Friday, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM (On-Call as Needed)Start Date: July 28, 2025Work Environment: Industrial | Field-Based Across Multiple Colorado SitesPosition SummaryWe are seeking a reliable and skilled Heavy Equipment Field Mechanic to service and repair a variety of heavy construction equipment and fleet vehicles. This is a field-based role requiring travel to job sites throughout Colorado, with lodging and per diem provided when needed. The ideal candidate is a self-starter with strong mechanical, diagnostic, and communication skills.Key ResponsibilitiesInspect, diagnose, and repair heavy equipment (excavators, dozers, loaders, skid steers, etc.) and fleet trucks (3500s, semis, trailers)Perform preventative maintenance and maintain service logs via mobile appsManage parts sourcing and procurement using a company card (post-probation)Travel to remote project sites (e.g., Idaho Springs, South Pueblo, Rocky Ford)Conduct welding repairs as necessaryKeep service vehicle clean and fully equippedEnsure all work adheres to safety protocols and timelinesQualificationsExperience: 5+ years in heavy equipment maintenance (field experience preferred)Licensing: Valid driver's license with clean MVR (CDL preferred)Technical Skills: Proficiency in diesel engines, hydraulics, diagnostics, and weldingPhysical Requirements: Ability to lift 50 lbs, work outdoors year-round, and climb equipmentMust pass a pre-employment physical and 10-panel drug screenAbility to work independently with minimal supervisionComfortable using mobile devices and apps for work documentationCompensation & BenefitsHourly Rate: $28–$35/hr (depending on experience and tooling)Travel Benefits: Per diem, lodging, and company vehicle providedAdditional Benefits: Health, Dental, and Vision InsurancePaid Holidays, PTO, and Sick Leave401(k) or Retirement Plan OptionsBonuses and Profit Sharing Opportunities
