Job Type: local contract
Contract Length: 3 Months + Contract to Hire
Pay Range: $17 to $19/hr
*Pay offered is based on experience, expertise, credentialing, and education.


Job Description :

• Perform venipuncture using straight and butterfly needles.
• Collect, label, process, centrifuge, split, freeze, store, and package specimens.
• Collect urine and fecal specimens as required.
• Explain blood draw and specimen collection procedures to patients.
• Verify physician orders, requisitions, patient information, and specimen labels for accuracy.
• Ensure proper specimen handling, storage, and transport to maintain specimen integrity.
• Perform equipment maintenance, decontamination, and required documentation.
• Follow established laboratory, OSHA, and DEP procedures.
• Complete required annual department training.
• Handle telephone inquiries and provide laboratory information as permitted.
• Assist with troubleshooting, training, and workflow improvement.

Minimum Qualifications

• Pediatric and geriatric phlebotomy experience required.
• 1-2 years of phlebotomy experience preferred.
• Strong teamwork and collaboration skills with the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment while maintaining accuracy and quality.
