Warehouse Material Handler / Forklift Operator

Hire Up Staffing is seeking a dependable and experienced Warehouse Material Handler / Forklift Operator for a one-month temporary assignment. This position is ideal for someone who is comfortable working in a fast-paced warehouse environment, operating forklifts and other material-handling equipment, and performing physical work throughout the day. Pay Rate: $17–$19/hour Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM–4:00 PM Assignment: 1-Month Temporary Contract Potential: Potential for extension or temp-to-hire based on business needs

Job Responsibilities

Pick and pull materials accurately based on customer orders and order slips.
Read labels, tickets, and product documentation to ensure orders are pulled correctly.
Operate forklifts and other material-handling equipment, including pallet jacks, reach trucks, cherry pickers, walking riders, EZGo carts, hand trucks, and dollies.
Load, unload, move, and organize materials throughout the warehouse.
Bring pallets down and manually load materials onto racks and shelves.
Assist with receiving and putting away incoming materials as needed.
Pack and ship customer orders accurately and efficiently.
Lift, push, carry, and slide materials weighing up to 75 pounds regularly.

Qualifications & Requirements

Previous forklift experience is required.
Ability to regularly lift and move materials weighing up to 75 pounds.
Ability to accurately read order slips, labels, tickets, and other written instructions.
Basic math and counting skills with strong attention to detail.
Ability to work independently in a fast-paced warehouse environment.
Strong time-management and organizational skills.
Ability to stand, walk, bend, lift, and move throughout the warehouse for the duration of the shift.
Comfortable working in various warehouse temperatures and conditions.
Must be at least 18 years old.

The warehouse environment can be dusty and dirty
