Registered Nurse – Acute Care (PCU / Step-Down)

Contract | Travel | Days | 6:45 AM – 7:15 PM | 13-Week Assignment | Rotating Weekends Required

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a 25-bed inpatient acute care unit, including management of ED hold patients
• Monitor and interpret telemetry and continuous oxygen saturation data, responding to changes in patient condition
• Operate and manage unit equipment including BiPAP, Vapotherm, Baxter pumps, and patient lifts
• Document all patient care activities accurately using Cerner EMR
• Perform wound care and other unit-specific procedures as assigned
• Float to the Emergency Department as needed per unit staffing requirements

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license valid in North Carolina or compact state eligibility
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience
• Telemetry experience required; candidates without this will not be considered
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications
• NIHSS certification required
• Team-oriented with strong communication skills

Preferred Experience / Skills

• ICU experience strongly preferred; candidates with this background will be prioritized
• Prior experience with Cerner EMR
• Familiarity with PCU or step-down level patient populations
