All while understanding that together we are even better.Schedule:Full timeShift: Day (United States of America)Address: 12903 N Telecom Pkwy, Temple Terrace, Florida, 33637Job DescriptionAll the benefits and perks you need for you and your family:Up to $2,500 Sign-on Bonus, when applicableHours: M-F 8am - 5pm; Weekend on-call rotationTeams (you will cover areas within your assigned county):Hillsborough CountyPasco CountyPinellas CountyPolk CountySebring/Highlands/HardeeOther duties as assigned.Develops professional and clinical skills through attendance at staff development meetings, pertinent educational activities, and professional affiliations.Participates in the review process and the agency performance improvement program.Provides patient education, medication administration, wound dressing changes, and ostomy care as directed by the RN and ordered by the physician.Displays flexibility in accepting assignment changes and participates in weekend/after-hours coverage and call rotation.Reports pertinent observations to the attending physician and RN, and implements changes in the patient care plan as directed.Communicates changes to the appropriate members of the home health care team.Demonstrates effective communication skills with all team members, patients, and families.Maintains clinical record information in accordance with established standards and within established time frames.Provides direct patient care responsibilities for assigned patients in an efficient, organized manner under the direction of the RN.Performs treatments within their scope of training and administers medications to assigned patients.Assesses patients during clinical check-in, documents pertinent medical information and vital signs, and assesses for signs of abuse or neglect using age-specific guidelines.Administers treatments, medications, and follow-up assessments ordered by the provider, verifying as needed, and responds appropriately in clinical emergencies and triage situations.Performs diagnostic and occupational medicine testing, including EKG, spirometry, audiometry, titmus, and pulse oximetry, and complete forensic testing collections in accordance with established guidelines.Collects data specific to the age of the patient and contributes to their plan of care.Receives, verifies, and implements physician orders, ensuring orders taken by the LPN are co-signed by an RN.Knowledge, Skills, and AbilitiesDemonstrates knowledge of practical nursing theory, modalities, treatments, and skillsA high level of multitasking, organization, and proactive communication skills are necessaryProblem-solving abilitiesPositive interpersonal communication skillsMust possess sound judgment and critical thinking skillsTeam and customer service orientedMust be able to manage multiple details, tasks, and decision-making abilities under busy and stressful working conditionsBasic computer skills required including but not limited to MS Office; additional computer knowledge [Preferred]Venipuncture skillsMust be proficient in the English language; additional languages [Preferred]Background check meets organizational guidelinesRequires individuals to be able to make emergency and mature independent judgments and decisionsMust have excellent communication skills, be flexible, and able to interact positively with associatesKnowledge with a Point of Care software system for patient care documentation [Preferred]EducationHigh School Grad or Equiv [Required]Technical/Vocational School graduate of an accredited school of licensed practical nursing [Required]Field of StudyNursingTechnical/Vocational School - Graduate of an Accredited School of Licensed Practical Nursing RequiredWork Experience1+ year of medical/surgical experience [Preferred]Licenses and CertificationsLicensed Practical Nurse (LPN) [Required]Basic Life Support - CPR Cert (BLS) [Required]IV Certified (IV) [Preferred]Driver's License (DL) [Preferred]Physical RequirementsPhysical Requirements - Range$21.00 - $39.06Certain positions are subject to Florida Level 2 background screening, including fingerprinting, as required by state law.Applicants may review general information about Florida's background screening requirements at the Florida Care Provider Background Screening Clearinghouse: facility is an equal opportunity employer and complies with federal, state and local anti-discrimination laws, regulations and ordinances.
