Surgical Services - Sterile Processing Tech (SPT)

Training Schedule: During the initial training period, the technologist will work Monday Friday, 5:00 AM 1:30 PM to receive hands-on training on all equipment and testing procedures. Upon successful completion of training, the schedule will transition to the regular assignment of Friday Monday, 8:00 AM 6:30 PM. Or, if you want it incorporated into the Schedule section: Schedule: Training: Monday Friday, 5:00 AM 1:30 PM (temporary training schedule). Regular Schedule: Friday Monday, 8:00 AM 6:30 PM following completion of training. After training: (1st Shift) = 08:00-18:30, Friday-Monday and occasional scheduled Holidays We are seeking candidates who are experienced with all areas of the department, which include: Decontamination of all items (Drills, Davinci, scopes) Sterilization process (sterrad and steam) HLD/ Scope experience Sterile Storage OR Liaison experience Censitrac Tracking system experience Move case carts, separate dirties, fills case cart needs for cases for the next day Takes OR calls for both floors of surgery Will accept either CBSPD or CRCST (through HSPA, formerly IAHCSMM). Aya SPT Candidate Eligibility Restrictions - Previous permanent staff and return travelers are not eligible for return anywhere in the system. (return travelers are considered to be any clinician that has taken an assignment at ANY location & is re-applying anywhere within the OSU umbrella) - Travelers who reach the one-year max contract limit are not eligible for extensions or future assignments. - Candidates who reside within a 50-mile radius of the care site address are not eligible. Current contractors who are already within the 50-mile radius may complete their existing contract and extend up to the one-year maximum contract limit.
