Mechanical Engineer

Pay Rate: $80,000- $100,000/yr Direct Hire

Machinery Design Engineer- Carol Stream, IL

Hours: Monday - Friday; 8:00am to 5:00pm (100% onsite)

• Developing detailed mechanical designs using CAD software.

• Performing calculations and simulations to ensure structural integrity and performance.

• Creating and maintaining technical documentation, including blueprints and specifications.

• Collaborating with vendors and suppliers to select and integrate components.

• Specification of motor hp, gearbox torque, bearings and shafts for various applications.

The ideal candidate will have:

• A Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.

• Proven experience in machinery design and development.

• Expertise in CAD software (Autodesk Inventor, AutoCAD 2D, etc.).

• A strong understanding of materials science, mechanics, and manufacturing processes.

• Familiar with welding methods and processes.

Qualifications:

· Must have OEM experience. Experience designing machinery from ground up. Part drawings and assemblies in Autodesk Inventor.

· Experience with Bill of Materials.

· Must be able to spec motors, gearboxes, gears, and sprockets.

· Must have stress analysis experience.

· 10 years’ experience
