About the Position

Job Title: Mother-Baby RN Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Mother-Baby / Couplet Care / Post Partum Duration: 8 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: 2 years of experience required; first-time travelers accepted License: Must have an active state license Certifications: BLS, NRP required; ACLS, AWHONN Intermediate preferred Must-Have: Charge experience preferred; charting system experience required Description: The Mother-Baby RN provides care for mothers and their newborns. Responsibilities include administering medications, IV therapy, and providing patient education. Knowledge of fetal heart monitoring and postpartum care is essential. The RN will assist with infant assessments and maternal recovery. Every other weekend work is required. Floating may be necessary within the specialty and sister units. Demonstrated skill in infant care protocols and community health initiatives is preferred. Strong communication and interpersonal skills are necessary for effective patient interaction. Compliance with safety and health regulations is expected. Candidates must be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment. Applicants should be familiar with electronic health record systems.
