This onsite contract opportunity is ideal for an experienced industrial automation professional with extensive expertise in PLC programming, instrumentation, SCADA systems, industrial networking, and preventive maintenance. The successful candidate will play a key role in maintaining reliable manufacturing operations by troubleshooting complex control systems, supporting automation initiatives, and minimizing production downtime.Key ResponsibilitiesInstall, configure, maintain, and optimize PLC, HMI, and SCADA systemsTroubleshoot and repair electrical controls, instrumentation, automation equipment, and industrial control systemsPerform preventive and predictive maintenance on automation and process control equipmentCalibrate field instrumentation including pressure, temperature, flow, and level devicesAnalyze system failures, identify root causes, and implement corrective solutionsSupport continuous improvement projects and automation system enhancementsRead and interpret electrical drawings, P&IDs, wiring diagrams, and control schematicsPartner with maintenance and operations teams to maximize equipment reliability and minimize downtimeEnsure compliance with OSHA regulations and established safety proceduresMaintain accurate documentation of maintenance activities, equipment modifications, and system updatesRequired QualificationsMinimum 5 years of experience supporting industrial control systems within a manufacturing environmentStrong hands-on experience with Allen-Bradley PLCs using Studio 5000 and RSLogix 5000Experience troubleshooting motor control systems and Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs)Experience supporting SCADA and HMI platformsKnowledge of industrial networking protocols including Ethernet/IP, Modbus, Profibus, and ProfinetAbility to read and interpret electrical drawings, P&IDs, and control schematicsStrong electrical, instrumentation, and automation troubleshooting skillsAbility to lift up to 50 pounds and work safely within an industrial manufacturing
