Step into a meaningful role supporting students and educators as a contract Ed Tech III Paraprofessional. Based near Portland, ME, this opportunity offers the chance to work in a collaborative and inclusive environment, making each school day impactful for students. You'll be part of a caring team, providing essential instructional and behavioral support.
This contract position runs from ASAP through June 11, with work hours from 7:15am-2:45pm (early release at 1:10pm on Wednesdays), averaging roughly 33 hours weekly. Compensation is offered at $25–$29 hourly on a W2 basis, with comprehensive healthcare benefits available.
Ideal candidates will bring the following:
- Active Ed Tech III license in hand (required at start)
- Prior experience working as a Paraprofessional or in a school-based support role
- Strong communication and collaboration abilities
- Patient, reliable, and adaptable approach to working with diverse student needs
- Commitment to supporting inclusive and positive learning environments
Your responsibilities will include:
- Supporting classroom instruction and assisting teachers in daily activities
- Providing one-on-one or small-group assistance to students, as directed
- Helping foster an orderly and welcoming classroom setting
- Encouraging student engagement and assisting with behavioral support plans
- Working closely with special education staff and contributing to IEP goals and documentation
