This opportunity offers the chance to manage full-cycle property accounting, partner closely with operations, and support the financial performance of a diverse real estate portfolio.Why This Opportunity Stands OutOwn the accounting for a multi-property real estate portfolio, from month-end close through financial reporting.Partner with property management teams and contribute to operational and financial decision-making.Work extensively with Yardi and continue developing your property accounting expertise.Join a stable organization with a mission-focused culture and long-term growth potential.Enjoy a competitive benefits package, including medical, dental, vision, retirement savings options, paid holidays, PTO, and sick leave.Take on diverse responsibilities across accounts receivable, reconciliations, financial reporting, and month-end close.Property Accountant Key ResponsibilitiesManage property accounting activities, including rent revenue, rental assistance payments, accounts receivable, and general ledger transactions.Prepare journal entries, accruals, bank reconciliations, and month-end close activities.Analyze and reconcile tenant ledgers, security deposits, subsidy receivables, and balance sheet accounts.Prepare financial statements, supporting schedules, and variance analyses.Review and process accounts payable transactions, ensuring accurate coding and reporting.Serve as the primary accounting resource for assigned property operations teams.Qualifications of the Property Accountant RoleBachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, or equivalent experience.3+ years of property accounting, real estate accounting, or affordable housing accounting experience.Strong Yardi experience, including reconciliations, reporting, and general ledger management.Experience with month-end close, financial reporting, accounts receivable, and bank reconciliations.Affordable housing, multifamily, LIHTC, or subsidy accounting experience preferred.
