The Shipping Clerk II works under close supervision of the Shipping Supervisor to prepare packages for shipment by packaging boxes and staging pallets according to the daily shipping schedule and delivery specifications and assisting with loading and unloading trucks as needed.

1. Sort and stage pallets in the shipping dock by operating a Pallet Jack or by hand based on daily shipping schedule, truck weight limits and requirements.
2. Prepare packages for shipping by taping or stapling boxes shut and affixing completed address label.
3. Generate air pillows at the shipping line by entering quantity and size needed in the Air Pillow Machine and placing them in boxes.
4. Investigate packages that are flagged as not meeting the specified weight requirements on the shipping conveyor line and make necessary adjustments or escalate issues to the Shipping Supervisor.
5. Wrap ready-to-ship pallets by operating the shrink wrap machine to ensure the product on the pallet does not shift during transport before it is loaded on the truck for shipment.
6. Scan products for delivery by operating RF Scanner to scan bar code of packages and enter delivery information.
7. Assemble specialized boxes for custom orders using a Staple Gun.
8. Note any order discrepancies and damages to inform Shipping Supervisor.
9. May load product on trucks by operating a Forklift or Pallet Jack.
10. Perform daily safety inspections of material handling equipment.
11. Observe all safety guidelines and report safety concerns to management.
12. Follow Six Sigma lean manufacturing standards to keep work area clean and safe from hazards.
13. Perform other duties as assigned.

• One year of relevant work experience required. High School Diploma/GED and experience working in a distribution or manufacturing environment preferred. Must be able to read, write, speak and understand basic English. Must possess knowledge in updating data and navigating through warehouse management systems. Experience with IMI Series (AS400) and Boss is preferred.
• Must be able to operate a Class II Order Picker and Class II Stand-Up Forklift, Pallet Jack, Label Printing System, RF Scanner, and Staple Gun. Ability to demonstrate basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication and division). Ability to work in a fast-paced team environment. Ability to work independently and with others. Ability to meet established deadlines. Ability to demonstrate strong attention to detail.

Regularly required to stand, walk, bend, and lift; use hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms; The employee is occasionally required to sit, reach above shoulders, climb stairs; balance; stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl; talk or hear; taste or smell. The employee must lift and/or move objects up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
