Veterinary Technician Full-Time

Veterinary technician licensure required; 1–2 years of clinical experience preferred; An Associate's or Bachelor's degree from an AVMA-accredited veterinary technology program preferred; or equivalent education and experience. Strong attention to detail with organizational and time management skills. Ability to multitask and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment. Excellent interpersonal, communication, and client service skills. Positive attitude with a strong team-oriented mindset.

Hospital Hours: Monday–Friday: 7:30 AM – 6:00 PM; Saturday: 8:00 AM – 2:00 PM

What You'll Do:

• As an LVT, you'll be an essential part of our medical team, helping deliver outstanding care from check-in to recovery:
• Patient Care & Nursing: Provide compassionate, high-quality nursing care to patients; Assist veterinarians with exams, diagnostics, and treatments; Monitor hospitalized patients and provide ongoing assessment; Deliver post-operative care, including pain management
• Surgery & Anesthesia: Prepare patients and surgical suites; Induce, monitor, and recover patients under anesthesia; Assist in surgical procedures and maintain sterile technique
• Diagnostics & Procedures: Perform venipuncture and laboratory sample collection; Run in-house diagnostics (bloodwork, urinalysis, fecal testing, etc.); Take and process radiographs; Perform dental cleanings and assist with dental procedures
• Client Communication: Educate clients on treatments, medications, and preventive care; Obtain accurate patient histories and explain discharge instructions; Build trusting relationships with clients through clear, empathetic communication
• Hospital Operations: Maintain accuracy in medical records and treatment plans; Ensure equipment is properly maintained and functioning; Uphold cleanliness and hospital infection control standards; Support team members and contribute to a positive work environment

Physical Requirements: Ability to lift up to 40 pounds and assist with larger patients; Comfortable standing, bending, and moving throughout the day; Ability to safely restrain animals of all sizes; Willingness to work in a clinical setting with exposure to odors, noise, and medical materials
