Description - What You Will Do

• Conduct a variety of clinical laboratory tests-covering areas such as chemistry, hematology, and immunology-while adhering to established protocols.
• Evaluate test results for accuracy, troubleshoot any discrepancies, and perform necessary maintenance and calibration on laboratory equipment.
• Assist in the collection of specimens and prepare samples for analysis when required.
• Carefully document all protocols, train incoming staff or students, and help to ensure the laboratory maintains high-quality standards.
• Strive to maintain a safe and tidy work environment while complying with all regulatory and accreditation standards.

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Clinical or Medical Laboratory Science, or an equivalent allied health degree, coupled with ASCP/AMT certification preparation.

Certifications

• ASCP or AMT Board of Certification in Clinical Laboratory Science (CLS), to be achieved within the first year of employment.
• Commit to maintaining current certification throughout your employment.
