Registered Nurse Medical Surgical

Spokane, WA | Acute Care

Contract | Days | 312-Hour Shifts (7:00 AM 7:00 PM) | Weekends required per facility needs | 48-hour weeks available

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a Medical Surgical unit with an expected nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:6
• Float between units and, when applicable, to nearby sister facilities as directed by facility needs
• Adhere to scheduled shifts and holiday commitments, including working 3 of the following 5 holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, and New Year's Day
• Complete required orientation modules prior to and during the start of assignment; module time is non-billable and factored into onboarding hours
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams to deliver safe, high-quality patient outcomes

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license required; compact license must be in hand at time of submission
• Minimum of 1 year of Medical Surgical RN experience required
• Must commit to all requested time off and scheduling needs upfront at the time of submission; post-submission RTO requests may not be considered
• Must live at least 50 miles from the facility to be eligible as a standard traveler (locals may be considered under alternate terms)
• 2 professional references covering at least 1 year of experience within the last 3 years required prior to start (Charge RNs and Leads accepted)
• Background must be clear of Nursys or background check hits per facility policy

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior travel nursing experience, particularly in a Medical Surgical setting
• Comfort and flexibility with floating between units and adapting to varying patient populations
• Experience working in a large health system or multi-facility environment
