DescriptionKforce has a client that is seeking an IT Category Manager in Doral, FL.Summary:The strategic sourcing/procurement position is focused specifically on IT products and services. The Category Manager will own sourcing activities, supplier evaluations, RFP/RFI/RFQ processes, negotiations, cost optimization, and vendor relationships while partnering with IT and business leadership.Key Responsibilities:* Strategically source a portfolio of IT products and services* Develop and manage RFQs, RFIs, and RFPs* Evaluate suppliers and analyze bids for cost, quality, and business value* Negotiate commercial terms and technology-related contracts* Develop strategic supplier relationships* Reduce total cost of ownership and deliver savings targets* Perform sourcing-related project management* Establish analytics and reporting for assigned categories* Partner with senior stakeholders and operating companies* Monitor market trends and incorporate them into sourcing strategiesRequirements* Bachelor's degree plus 5-7 years of related experience, or Advanced degree plus 5-10 years of related experience* Education: IT-related, Finance, Business Administration, Supply Chain, or related* Preferred Certification CPM or equivalentJob TypeContractCompensation40 - $48
