Recent growth has led to opportunities to join our established civil construction company in the Tampa/Riverview areaThe Materials Procurement Specialist plays a critical role in ensuring the timely and cost-effective acquisition of construction materials for heavy civil infrastructure projects such as large scale residential projects, roadways, and commercial/industrial projects. This position requires strong negotiation skills, industry knowledge, and the ability to coordinate with suppliers, project teams, and field operations to maintain project schedules and budgets.Key Responsibilities: • Develop and implement procurement plans aligned with project timelines and budgets. • Source and evaluate suppliers for construction materials including aggregates, concrete, steel, piping, geotextiles, and other civil infrastructure components. • Negotiate contracts, pricing, and delivery terms with vendors. • Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and subcontractors. • Monitor vendor performance and resolve issues related to quality, delivery, or compliance. • Coordinate delivery schedules to ensure materials arrive on-site as needed. • Work with logistics teams to optimize transportation and storage solutions. • Track inventory levels and forecast future material needs. • Ensure procurement activities comply with company policies, safety standards, and regulatory requirements. • Maintain accurate records of purchases, contracts, and supplier communications. • Liaise with project managers, engineers, and site supervisors to understand material requirements. • Provide regular updates on procurement status and potential risks to project timelines.Job Type: Full-timeSchedule: • Monday to FridaySalary: The salary for this position will be commensurate according to experience.Benefits: • Health insurance • Dental insurance • Vision insurance • 401(k) • 401 (k) matching • HSA (Health Saving Account) • FSA (Flexible Spending Account) • Life Insurance • Employee Assistance Program • Pet insurance • Employee referral program • Paid time offAbility to Relocate/Commute: • Must be able to commute to Riverview, FL 33578 (Required) • Must be willing to relocate before starting work (Required)## QualificationsQualifications: • Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field (preferred). • 3+ years of procurement experience in the construction industry, preferably in heavy civil projects. • Strong knowledge of construction materials and industry suppliers. • Proficiency in procurement software and ERP systems. • Excellent negotiation, communication, and organizational skills. • Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment. #J-18808-Ljbffr Priority Dispatch Corp.
