Availability for night shift coverage is preferred. This role is based at a Level II Trauma Center and requires availability for rotating call assignments. Responsibilities Possess sound and thorough knowledge of all diagnostic radiographic procedures and related equipment including surgical, portable, trauma, general and fluoroscopic radiographic procedures. Obtain high‑quality radiographic and fluoroscopic images utilizing appropriate lead markers as well as date and time stickers where indicated. Assure only optimal images are submitted for interpretation. Select proper and accurate technical factors and techniques to accommodate patient and assist in administration of contrast media when indicated. Prepare, transfer and position patients as needed ensuring modesty, safely utilizing auxiliary equipment. Document all pertinent clinical information prior to exam, obtain informed consent, and complete all required fields within MEDITECH accurately and on time. Maintain proactive and effective communication with patient and other caregiver colleagues to include the radiologist. Check the operation of the equipment, maintain cleanliness of table and equipment to prevent cross‑contamination of contagious diseases and keep room stocked with linens and necessary supplies. Qualifications Vocational/Technical education. Valid ARRT (R) certification. Clear/active Florida Department of Health licensure (CRT). Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification. Experience as a Radiology Tech in an acute‑care hospital setting is preferred. Ability to perform work which requires frequent standing, bending, reaching, squatting, kneeling, moving and lifting of patients and/or equipment up to 50 lbs. We are an equal opportunity employer.
