Emergency Room Registered Nurse (RN)

Position Overview

We are seeking experienced Emergency Room Registered Nurses (RNs) for a challenging and rewarding position within a Level 2 Trauma Center. This role offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic environment, providing critical care to patients in need.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care to patients in the emergency department.
• Assist with triage and manage cases based on severity.
• Collaborate with physicians and healthcare team members to develop and implement patient care plans.
• Maintain accurate patient records and documentation.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and adhere to best practices.

Schedule

The position includes a guaranteed 36 hours per week with a weekend rotation. Shifts available are either 3 PM or 7 PM. Candidates should indicate their preferred shift upon application.

Qualifications

• Active Kansas RN license or multistate license required.
• Minimum of 2 years of strong emergency room experience; 4 years preferred.
• Current certifications must include BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC, NIHSS, and MOAB/CPI.
• All certifications must be from an accredited organization (e.g., AHA for BLS, ACLS, and PALS).
• Experience with electronic medical records (EMR), specifically Epic, is preferred.
• No restrictions or hits on the license or background will be accepted.

Compliance Requirements

All documentation, including certifications and licenses, must be submitted at the time of application. The compliance deadline for this position has been established, and candidates are encouraged to ensure all paperwork is complete prior to this date.

Additional Notes

Applicants should maintain Request Time Off (RTO) to a maximum of 5 days throughout the assignment, with only one holiday request allowed. A strict call-in policy is in place, promoting reliability and responsibility.
