Essential Functions A minimum of two years experience as an Electronics Technician is required, ideally in RF systems, telemetry data collection or related areas such as tracking radar, passive aircraft tracking. Familiarity with electronics principles and ability to use test equipment (multimeters, oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, signal generators, power meters, frequency counters) are necessary. Must read technical data and schematics with little assistance. Knowledge of antennas and antenna theory a plus. Must adhere to all safety policies and wear required PPE. General Duties Receives work assignments from the supervisor or more qualified technicians. Inspection, maintenance, modification, repair, and operation of mobile and fixed‑site telemetry systems. Cross‑utilized in ground‑to‑air radios, microwave communications, and radar systems. Performs circuit analyses, calculates waveforms, installs wiring, and traces signal flow using complex instruments. Removes, lifts, carries, and replaces system components up to 50 lbs without assistance. Climbs ladders, towers, platforms to facilitate maintenance of antennas and related systems. Works primarily indoors in climate‑controlled buildings but may work outdoors in cold, heat, dust, and high humidity. Performs other duties such as government vehicle maintenance, facility and grounds maintenance, work‑area clean‑up, or administrative tasks as required. Supports company process improvement initiatives. May obtain specialized certifications and training as needed. Works overtime, weekends, and holidays as required. Qualifications Technically educated or service‑school graduate in electronics with a minimum of 2 years as an Electronics Technician. CDL Class B or C is a plus; current Electronics Technician Certification a plus. Minimum 5 years experience in RF systems, telemetry data collection, tracking radar, or passive aircraft tracking is desired. Eligible to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance. Observes company Quality, Safety, Environmental, Security, and Administrative policies and supports process improvement. Work Environment and Physical Demands Indoor climate‑controlled environment with occasional outdoor work in cold, heat, dust, and high humidity. Physical demands include climbing, bending, stooping, lifting up to 50 lbs, pulling, and carrying heavy items. Must climb antenna towers, ladders, or safety devices to heights of 45–100 feet and lift 50 lbs unassisted.
