About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: RN Specialty: Post Partum/Mom Baby Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 19:00 - 07:00 Hours per Shift: 36 Experience: Minimum of 2 years License: RN License Required Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NRP, AWHONN Fetal Monitoring Certification Must-Have: At least 2 years of labor experience Description: Client Infant Unit has 24 beds and 71 staff members. Staff includes day shift labor nurse, nursery nurse, OB tech, secretary, leadership, educator, and night shift labor nurse. Patient ratios are labor 1:1 (most of the time), post-partum 5-6:1, nursery 5-6:1. Type of equipment used includes GE fetal monitors with EMR Meditech and CPN. Typical procedures include vaginal deliveries, C-sections, and care for antepartum patients. Newborn and post-partum care are required. Every third weekend is scheduled with 12 hours of call per 4-week schedule. Navy blue scrubs are required for the dress code. MIU nurses have pink badges for infant security.
