About the Position

The position includes working 3x12-hour night shifts. This is a 13-week contract with every other weekend required. First-time travelers are accepted. The patient ratio experience required is 1:6. Candidates must be proficient in EPIC charting. Local candidates will not be accepted; candidates must reside more than 75 miles from the facility. Candidates will be required to float to other units as necessary. The unit primarily handles complex care for medicine, orthopedic overflow, and long-term patients. Essential skills include telemetry monitoring, management of dysrhythmias, code response, and central line management. Experience with various medical procedures and equipment is necessary, including IV starts, blood product administration, feeding tube management, and wound care. Candidates must adhere to isolation precautions and demonstrate proficiency in basic nursing skills and protocols. This position requires managing various patient needs, including high-flow nasal cannula and tracheostomy management.
