maman is a french bakery, café and leading lifestyle brand founded in 2014 by owners Elisa Marshall & Benjamin Sormonte, with locations across North america and Canada. Inspired by family traditions, and the highest quality ingredients, maman offers a selection of delicious baked goods {including their famous nutty chocolate chip cookie}, coffee, fresh breakfast, and lunch options spanning from hearty salads & sandwiches to savory quiches. In addition to hosting intimate events, maman has partnered with leading brands for partnerships and activations. From baby showers and birthday parties to engagements, they're able to help celebrate customers & make new beautiful memories.

we’re looking for a full-time intern to join our nyc-based marketing team! our ideal candidate is a motivated self-starter with a passion for marketing, branding, food, and community. this is a hands-on role for someone who is excited to get out into our 30+ cafes in the Northeast, support local marketing initiatives, and help bring the maman brand to life across our locations. as a marketing intern, you will work closely with our marketing team to support local activations, community outreach, and overall brand execution across our cafes. no two days will look the same, and you’ll gain hands-on experience working directly with our stores and seeing how marketing comes to life beyond the office.

• conducting regular store visits and audits to identify missing, outdated, or damaged marketing materials, signage, and other brand elements

• taking photos and documenting store conditions, marketing execution, and opportunities for improvement

• assisting with the setup and execution of local events, pop-ups, partnerships, and brand activations                                                                                              

• supporting the distribution and installation of marketing supplies and materials 

• helping ensure campaigns, promotions, new menu launches, and other marketing initiatives are properly executed

• support the research, preparation of marketing materials, and onsite execution during new store openings 

• assisting with local community outreach and researching potential opportunities with neighborhood businesses, community groups, fitness studios, schools, and other organizations

• supporting store teams with marketing-related needs and helping communicate feedback between the cafes and marketing team

• organizing marketing materials, tracking inventory, and helping ensure stores have what they need for upcoming campaigns

• assisting with administrative and organizational tasks

• assist in responding to Northeast-specific reviews 

what we’re looking for:

• full time (40 hrs per week) in person commitment at our soho, nyc office

• a passion for marketing, storytelling, branding, food and beverage

• organized and detail-oriented

• experience with the google suite

• team player with a desire to learn and grow

• clear communication skills

• you enjoy and thrive in a fast-paced environment 

nice to have’s:

• prior experience in marketing, events, hospitality, retail, or food and beverage

• an interest in visual merchandising, brand experience, or local marketing

• knowledge of Creative Cloud

• familiarity with nyc neighborhoods and local communities
