Job Summary
An Intensive Care Unit (ICU) registered nurse opportunity is available in a healthcare facility in North Charleston, South Carolina. The role involves providing specialized patient care in a mixed ICU environment, with a focus on critical patient management, including ventilator care, complex hemodynamic monitoring, and post-operative procedures. The position offers a chance to work with advanced equipment and collaborate with a skilled nursing team committed to high-quality care.

Job Details

• Schedule: Nights shift, 12 hours per shift, minimum 36 hours per week, starting on 08/10/2026
• Required Qualifications: Active BLS, ACLS, NIH Stroke Scale certifications; 36 months RN experience, including at least one year in an ICU; experience with Meditech documentation system and managing up to 1-3 ICU patients; proficiency in reading telemetry strips; ability to care for ventilated patients; and relevant certifications preferred.
• Preferred Qualifications: Advanced Certifications such as TNCC and BSN degree; prior successful travel nursing experience in a critical care setting; experience with neuro procedures, advanced hemodynamics, CRRT, and EVD management.
• Float: Float rotation may be required; travelers are first to float in the event of unit staffing adjustments.
• Additional Information: The ICU handles post-operative care including CABG, Impellas, balloon pumps, Swan Ganz, neuro procedures for aneurysmal subarachnoid hemorrhage, and head/neck flap procedures. Candidates will need to adhere to unit-specific policies and dress code uniforms. The facility offers a supportive environment with opportunities for training in specialized ICU care, including neuro and cardiovascular units.
