Our caregivers have years of experience in treating the most complex pulmonary conditions./ppA caregiver in this role will work Monday through Friday, 8:00am to 4:30pm with one evening required per week until 8:00pm. Saturday rotation is also required however, hours will be variable based on facility needs./ppA caregiver who excels in this role will:/pulliAssist with performing screenings and treatments by gathering and updating information related to health maintenance, identifying medication changes, updating allergy information, collecting specimens, performing tests and documenting patient care./liliMonitor and communicate changes in patient condition./liliMaintain equipment, medical supplies and examination areas./liliPerform administrative/clerical duties, such as filing, reception, scheduling, data entry and patient registration./li/ulpMinimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:/pulliGraduate from an approved Medical Assisting Program/liliMilitary training as a Hospital Corpsman (HM), Combat Medic (68W) or Medical Service Technician (4N0X1) will be considered/liliCompletion of a clinical externship OR extensive clinical experience/liliBasic Life Support (BLS) Certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) or the American Red Cross within new hire period/li/ulpPreferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:/pulliMedical Assisting Certification/liliSuccessful completion of a Cleveland Clinic Externship/li/ulpPhysical Requirements:/pulliManual dexterity to operate office equipment./liliMay require extended periods of standing, walking or sitting./liliGood visual acuity through normal or corrected vision./liliLight Work - Exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 pounds of force frequently, and/or a negligible amount of force constantly to move objects./liliNote: The constant stress and strain of maintaining a production rate pace, especially in an industrial setting, can be and is physically demanding of a worker even though the amount of force exerted is negligible./li/ulpPersonal Protective Equipment:/pulliFollows standard precautions using personal protective equipment as required./li/ulpThe policy of Cleveland Clinic Health System and its system hospitals (Cleveland Clinic Health System) is to provide equal opportunity to all of our caregivers and applicants for employment in our drug free environment.
