Patient Service Representative – Oregon City Family Practice Praxis Health Advanced Primary Care is seeking a full‑time Patient Service Representative in Portland, OR. Standard Work Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM Location: 9555 SW Barnes Road #201, Portland, OR 97225 Benefits include: Laboratory discounts for in‑house testing Medical coverage with in‑network & custom network discounts (no out‑of‑pocket premium for employee‑only coverage) Dental coverage (no cost for employee‑only coverage) 401(k) with discretionary employer match Paid Time Off Essential Job Functions Greets, screens, and schedules in‑person patients Performs reception duties, including answering and screening telephone communications and relaying messages Inputs information into electronic health records and other support service platforms Verifies insurance information and collects co‑payments Prepares and processes correspondence and answers routine medical administrative inquiries Obtains, verifies, and updates patient information and provides support services to patients and medical staff Assists in medical record maintenance, retrieving and sending documents as required by state and federal laws Ensures scheduling accuracy for efficient provider and patient use of time Minimum Qualifications Previous experience in a medical office setting (minimum 1 year preferred 2 years) Excellent communication and customer service skills, in person and over the phone Proficiency with electronic health record (EHR) systems Ability to reliably arrive to work on time High school diploma or GED General Physical Requirements Manual dexterity for operation of office machines, including computer and calculator; stooping, bending to handle files and supplies, and mobility to complete errands. Regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Physical stress may be triggered by multiple staff demands and deadlines. Work is performed in an office environment with frequent contact with staff and patients.
