Nuclear Medicine Technologist (NMT)
Title: PET/CT & Nuclear Medicine Technologist
Schedule: Contract Length: 26 weeks Monday–Friday, 8-hour shifts; start times vary (6:00, 6:30, 7:00, 7:30, 8:00, 8:30, 9:30) — must be flexible. Holidays: Federal holidays off.
Assignment Details: Caseload: ~33 PET/CT scans/day; primarily oncology. Equipment: 2 PET/CT scanners.
Requirements: Minimum 1 year of clinical experience. Required clinical background: PET/CT and general nuclear medicine. State license. ARRT (R or N) or NMTCB certification. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
Roles & Responsibilities: Perform PET/CT scans with a focus on oncology. Administer radiopharmaceuticals and manage patient workflows. Obtain and maintain accurate patient records within the charting system. Collaborate effectively with medical staff to ensure quality patient care. Adhere to safety protocols and regulatory compliance.
Compliance / Notes: Orientation: 40 hours. Location-specific requirements: Ohio fingerprinting required urgently upon booking. Restricted time off for February and March of the contract. Vaccines: Flu vaccine required (medical exemptions only); COVID-19 vaccine not required. Scrubs: Preferred color grey; not provided.
