Budget Analyst II

MDW Associates is seeking Budget Analyst II to provide sound financial stewardship, expert analysis, and innovative approaches to our National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) client at Marshall Space Flight Center (MSFC) in Huntsville, Alabama.This is an on-site position located at Marshall Space Flight Center in Huntsville, Alabama. Interested individuals must reside in the Huntsville area or be immediately willing to relocate and must be available to support the customer on-site five (5) days per week.The Budget Analyst II may perform a combination of some or all of the following duties:Serve as an apprentice or junior analyst to systematically integrate business and financial management processes to ensure the efficient stewardship of public funds.Under contractor supervision, assess products and procedures for compliance with Government standards, sound accounting principles, and multi-tiered system application standards.Be cognizant of interrelationships between financial management requirements and automated solutions, considering the current system environment and the potential integration of added systems concurrently or later.Required Experience/Skills:0-2+ years of experience in budget analysis or related field.Possesses a basic understanding of budget formulation, execution, and administration processes.Ability to monitor and track obligation and expenditure of funds, detect, reconcile, and remedy fiscal discrepancies, and provide cost-effective, insightful reporting to decision makers.Familiar with financial management, business case analysis, cost estimating, and/or outsourcing requirements.Proficient with Excel.Education Requirement(s):Candidates for this position must possess a BA/BS degree.Security Requirement(s):Public Trust - Candidates for this position must be submitted for a background investigation in order to satisfy government requirements.Company DescriptionIncorporated in 2012, MDW is a small business headquartered in Washington, DC with employees in various locations throughout the United States.
