Description

American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a Medical ICU (MICU) position at a Level II Trauma Center, requiring a minimum of 2 years of ICU experience and active ACLS and Epic proficiency.

Details

• Work in a 10-bed Medical ICU (MICU) at a 426-bed short-term acute care hospital that is part of the Yale New Haven Health System
• Level II Trauma Center setting
• Night shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts (19:00–07:30)
• Every other weekend required
• Floating required as needed
• Charting is performed in Epic
• Free parking available on-site

Requirements

• Active CT or compact RN license required
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Minimum 2 years of ICU experience required
• Epic EMR experience required
• Must reside more than 75 miles from the facility to qualify for travel rates (local candidates not eligible for this position)
• Must not have any prior disciplinary actions on nursing license
• 1 professional reference required for consideration
• Flu vaccination required; declinations are not accepted
• COVID vaccination required; religious or medical exemptions may be considered

Additional Information

• 13-week contract
• Former permanent staff of this facility must have been separated for at least 2 years before being considered as a traveler
• Up to 7 days of RTO may be auto-approved by the facility
• Travelers may be expected to participate in natural disaster or emergency response activities as required by the facility
