Peer Recovery Support Specialist (PRS)

Description AMHC | Full-Time | Caribou Outpatient Are you passionate about helping others overcome barriers, build confidence, and create lasting change? We're looking for a compassionate, motivated individual to support participants in Adult Treatment Recovery Court full-time as they work toward recovery, stability, and a brighter future. Help others discover their strengths Support recovery, resiliency, and independence Be part of a team committed to lasting change Requirements This position requires a High School Diploma or equivalent. The individual must have lived experience with a substance use disorder, or insider knowledge in recovery and be willing to self-identify. Must have experience in or with the criminal justice system. Must have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation. Recovery Coach requirements: Complete Recovery Coach Academy training within four (4) months of date of hire. Complete the CCAR Ethical Considerations for Recovery Coaches ethics training or complete the CCAR training itself during the first nine (9) months of service. Take part in monthly coachervision. Register with the Maine Peer Recovery Coach Certification Board Certified Intentional Peer Support Specialists (CIPPS) requirements: Within the first 30 days of hire CIPSS Pre-Training completed and submitted. Within 60 days of hire begin attending monthly co-reflections and continue attending co-reflections monthly until Core CIPSS training begins.
