Job Title

Registered Nurse (RN) – Emergency Department

Location

Tucson, AZ | Acute Care – Emergency Department (Trauma Level III, Stroke Receiving, STEMI Receiving)

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Travel | 13 Weeks | Nights – 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM, 3x12s | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in the Emergency Department utilizing the Nursing Process in accordance with the state Nurse Practice Act and facility policies and procedures
• Demonstrate critical thinking skills, scientific judgment, and leadership in anticipating and planning for safe patient care delivery
• Maintain clinical competencies through continuing education and adherence to department standards
• Delegate patient care priorities commensurate with the education and experience of available staff
• Provide direction and supervision of assigned personnel delivering patient care
• Float to other units as needed per facility requirements

Required Qualifications

• Active Arizona RN License (required prior to start)
• BLS Certification (required)
• ACLS Certification (required)
• PALS Certification (required)
• Minimum 2 years of Emergency Department RN experience
• Must be willing to float as needed
• Must live at least 50 miles from the facility to be eligible (travel position)

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Charge Nurse experience in an Emergency Department setting
• Experience with Cerner EMR
• NIH Stroke Scale certification (recommended but not required)
• Familiarity with Trauma Level III, Stroke Receiving, and STEMI Receiving environments
