Job Description

As a Security Officer Front Desk in Gahanna, OH , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Utilities, and more. Join Allied Universal at a professional front desk location supporting a utilities environment, where you will greet visitors, manage access, monitor activity, and provide outstanding customer service and communication. This is a driving post requiring a valid driver's license. As part of a caring, agile, reliable, and innovative team, you will help support daily operations with professionalism, teamwork, and integrity.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and contractors by carrying out front desk procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a utilities location.
• Monitor access to the location by greeting visitors, verifying identification and/or credentials, maintaining visitor logs, and communicating with site contacts regarding arrivals and departures.
• Answer phones, assist with inquiries, and support badge issuance, key control, and other front desk administrative duties related to security-related operations.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including notifying appropriate personnel and documenting relevant details.
• Observe lobby and reception activity and report unusual behavior, maintenance concerns, and/or policy violations to help support security-related awareness at the location.

Minimum Requirements:

• Client requires proof of high school diploma or GED.
• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
