Technology Service Manager

Technology Services Manager – Print Operations Department Dow Jones printing plant – LaGrange, GA. Reports to: Associate Director, Production. Base Pay Range $110,000 - $140,000 Responsibilities Implement corporate technology direction including desktop, server, telephony, network architectures, and messaging. Communicate effectively, ensuring maintenance programs meet highest quality standards and prioritize production quality requirements. Direct technology services and machinist staff to support press room/mail room managers in improving the Production Quality Score. Assist in development of budget criteria for the department as directed by the production manager. Direct staff associated with building operations through appropriate manager to maintain building assets and systems. Manage preventive maintenance programs and accurate maintenance records for equipment. Develop and maintain open communication with employees, emphasizing goals and objectives of the department. Administer local labor agreements and company policies in coordination with the production manager. Provide ongoing training and development for technology services, machinist, and building staff. Develop and deliver written performance reviews and development plans annually. Maintain accurate written records of employee performance and disciplinary issues. Make salary recommendations for the production manager’s approval. Hire, train, develop and maintain a diverse, highly‑skilled staff. Assist in implementing policies/practices ensuring compliance with laws and company policies regarding equal employment opportunity, affirmative action, safety and environmental requirements. Qualifications 5-7 years of relevant experience. Working knowledge of Project and Process management methodologies. Strong written and oral communication skills. Priority and Time management skills.
