About the Role

Job Summary We’re looking for a Senior Data Analyst who enjoys digging into large, complex datasets to understand what’s really happening behind the numbers. You’ll partner closely with Product and Marketing teams to analyze customer behavior, investigate product and conversion funnels, identify anomalies and opportunities, and turn complex findings into clear, actionable insights. This is a hands-on, investigative role supporting a large-scale B2C digital product. Strong SQL and Tableau skills are essential, but this role goes well beyond reporting and dashboard creation. We’re looking for someone who is naturally curious, knows how to ask the next question, and can connect the data to a compelling story that helps stakeholders make better decisions.

Responsibilities

• Investigate large and complex datasets to uncover trends, anomalies, behavioral patterns, and opportunities that may not be visible through standard reporting.
• Analyze customer journeys and product and conversion funnels to understand how users move through the digital experience, where they encounter friction, and where they drop off.
• Partner closely with Product and Marketing teams to provide insights that inform product decisions, customer experience improvements, marketing performance, and optimization opportunities.
• Use SQL to query, transform, and analyze large datasets across customer behavior, product usage, digital engagement, marketing, and conversion events.
• Use Tableau to build dashboards and visualizations that support ongoing performance monitoring as well as deeper exploratory analysis.
• Investigate changes in performance by customer segment, device, browser, operating system, traffic source, marketing channel, and other dimensions to help determine what is driving the change.
• Analyze marketing and acquisition performance to understand how channels and campaigns connect to customer behavior, conversion, and downstream product engagement.
• Identify unusual patterns and anomalies, investigate potential causes, and recommend areas for further action or analysis.
• Translate complex analysis into clear, compelling data stories and actionable recommendations for Product, Marketing, and other business stakeholders.
• Support A/B testing and other analyses designed to measure the impact of changes to the product, marketing efforts, and customer experience.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of experience in data analytics, product analytics, marketing analytics, business intelligence, or a related analytical role, ideally within a B2C digital environment.
• Advanced SQL skills with hands-on experience querying, manipulating, and analyzing large and complex datasets.
• Strong Tableau experience, including building dashboards and visualizations from the ground up.
• Experience analyzing customer behavior, user journeys, conversion funnels, product performance, marketing performance, or other digital experiences.
• Strong investigative skills and the ability to move beyond surface-level metrics to determine what is driving changes in performance.
• Excellent data storytelling skills with the ability to take complex analysis and communicate the findings, implications, and recommended next steps clearly.
• Experience identifying trends, anomalies, and patterns within large datasets and determining where deeper analysis is needed.
• Ability to work collaboratively with Product, Marketing, and other business stakeholders while independently driving analysis from question through insight.
• A proactive, curious mindset with a desire to uncover the “why” behind the data rather than simply report what happened.
