Post Mission
The psychiatrist's mission is to detect, diagnose, treat, and prevent mental disorders affecting children and adolescents admitted to the DITEP.
You will be able to intervene in the following missions:
A. A systematic meeting with the child or adolescent and their family upon admission to the institution:
- Conduct psychiatric evaluation interviews and exploration of admission motives to establish a therapeutic alliance with the child and family
- Collect necessary medical information about the child in connection with the therapeutic service
B. Contribute to the development of each personalized therapeutic project and be its guarantor
C. Exercise a diagnostic action:
- Evaluate the needs of the child admitted to DITEP
- Prescribe if necessary a psychotropic treatment and/or a rehabilitative/speech therapy/psychomotricity/psychological care
- Ensure regular follow-up for the renewal of prescriptions or medical prescriptions: regularly check with the nurse regarding the psychiatric situation of the young people followed, the different treatments/their tolerance and possible side effects
- Inform families about the implementation of psychotropic treatments and ask for their agreement
- Evaluate through interviews with children and adolescents the emergencies that have occurred at the institutional level
- Write medical certificates at the request of parents or to the MDPH for the renewal of care
- Help the children and adolescents followed as well as their families to negotiate the disorders they suffer from through close collaboration with the caregivers.
D. Institution functioning:
- Work in collaboration with the different services of the institution
- Participate regularly in informal clinical exchange times with the teams around the different care
- Possibility to conduct training functions for staff (interventions...)
- Participate in different meetings of the institution (therapeutic meetings, interdisciplinary meetings, etc.)
- Write professional writings (reports, children's files, external letters)
In the context of this function, you will be required to initiate and maintain relationships with other institutions, colleagues, and external partners (CMP, Day Hospitals, CASA, etc...) and to participate in meetings with external partners involved in the care of children admitted to DITEP.
Profile Sought
Holder of a doctorate in medicine and a Postgraduate Diploma in Psychiatry (the infanto-juvenile DESC would be appreciated), you have equivalent first experience.
You have a good knowledge of the organization and functioning of medico-social structures and the public received and are able to create a trusting relationship with the child and their entourage.
Full-time permanent position, 10h/week (may go up to 15h/week).
