Chief Executive Officer

the client is seeking a chief executive officer to lead all facets of the organization and further strengthen its statewide relevance. The chief executive officer will elevate engagement with alumni, oversee leadership programming for state participants and graduates, and ensure the organization continues to function as a trusted convener of leaders across regions and sectors. The role includes providing overall leadership for the enterprise, with a focus on mission impact, program quality, and sustained leadership development through a statewide network. The chief executive officer will oversee all existing and future programs and services that educate and build a strong network of leaders. In addition, the role will include primary responsibility for fundraising, working with sponsors, funders, and alumni to grow organizational resources and expand program offerings and convenings. The chief executive officer will also manage key functions including finance, operations, human resources, and information technology, working with a lean internal team. Key priorities for the next phase include innovation in programming and alumni development, strengthening connectivity among program participants and between participants and alumni, and broadening engagement across the state, including both rural and urban areas and communities with evolving demographics. The chief executive officer will build and mobilize relationships among program participants and alumni as well as with leading organizations and companies across the state. The role also includes collaborating with the board and the board chair to develop short- and long-term strategies and operating plans aligned with statewide leadership pipeline and impact goals.
