Overview Registered Nurse – Med Surg, York, Maine, United States. Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care for Medical-Surgical patients, including assessment, planning, and evaluation of care plans
• Monitor and document patient status, vitals, and responses to therapies; utilize telemetry data as needed
• Administer prescribed medications and therapies; manage IV lines and safety protocols
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team (physicians, case management, and other nurses) to develop and implement care plans
• Document care accurately and timely in the electronic medical record; ensure compliance with policies and procedures
• Respond to changes in patient condition with rapid assessment and escalation as appropriate; uphold infection control and patient safety standards

Requirements

• Active, unrestricted Registered Nurse license in Maine
• ACLS and BLS/BCLS certifications required
• Prior Medical-Surgical nursing experience required
• Telemetry experience preferred
• Flu vaccine required by the State of Maine
• Ability to work the described night shift (7:00 pm–7:30 am) and participate in the 3-night-per-week schedule
