Position Summary:
The Forklift Operator is responsible for safely moving, loading, unloading, and organizing heavy steel tubing, bar stock, and other materials throughout the warehouse and yard. This position requires strong forklift experience, attention to material identification and traceability, and the ability to work safely around heavy industrial products. Tube Supply’s published Material Handler role specifically requires strong forklift skills and includes moving steel bar and tube using forklifts and overhead cranes.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate forklifts to safely move steel tubing, bars, and other heavy materials.
• Load and unload incoming and outgoing material.
• Move material to designated warehouse and production locations.
• Assist with receiving, identifying, tagging, and organizing materials.
• Maintain proper product identification and traceability, including heat and serial numbers.
• Stage and package materials for shipment.
• Assist with inventory counts and material organization.
• Inspect forklift and material-handling equipment before use.
• Follow all HSE, QMS, safety, and company procedures.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Assist Operations Management with daily orders and special projects.

Qualifications: Previous industrial or heavy-material forklift experience; ability to safely handle long/heavy steel products; good communication and basic computer skills; overhead-crane experience is highly desirable; ability to work in a fast-paced industrial environment.
