Facility Address: 4212 North 16th St, Phoenix, AZ 85016General Surgeon Responsibilities (listed are included but not limited to)Diagnose and treat medical and surgical disorders using the most appropriate techniques in providing quality care.General Surgeon is responsible for initial evaluation and overall workups, history & physicals, and admission of general surgery patients as needed.Clinical duties include but are not limited to: Operating Room (experience in wide varied of standard general surgical procedures and operations), inpatient rounds, and emergency room. The General Surgeon will be able to perform a wide variety of general surgical procedures.Supervise residents that come in and require oversight.Participate in all surgical quality/performance improvement initiatives as appropriate.Participate in General Surgery night call and perform emergency general surgical procedures.Provide patients with education concerning their disease state and treatment regimen.Assess patient's risk and benefits associated with surgical procedures and will provide appropriate informed consent, so patients fully understand the important risks and benefits of surgical intervention.Complete all electronic, clinical, daily charting and documentation required by the Medical Center in a timely manner as appropriate, including outcomes reporting as appropriate.Consult with Medical Center Staff on many patient care issues.General Surg - RequirementsDegree of MD/Do or equivalent degree resulting from a course of education in medicine or osteopathic medicine.Current, full and unrestricted license to practice medicine or surgery in a State, Territory, or Commonwealth of the United States, or in the District of Columbia.Must be board certified or board eligible for General Surgery.KurzSolutions is committed to improving health outcomes by providing well-managed companies with the top healthcare talent in the market.
