- Experience: 8+ years DBA experience
- CockroachDB: 2+ years production experience
Required Skills
- Strong hands-on CockroachDB administration
- CockroachDB cluster installation, configuration, upgrades, and maintenance
- Distributed databases, replication, scalability & high availability
- Query optimization & performance tuning
- Backup, recovery & disaster recovery
- Database monitoring & capacity planning
- Database security, user management & access control
- Production troubleshooting & RCA
- Bash/Python scripting
- Experience supporting high-volume production databases
Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain production CockroachDB clusters
- Ensure database availability, performance, and scalability
- Implement backup/recovery and DR strategies
- Monitor database health and resolve production issues
- Support on-call responsibilities
- Automate database administration tasks using Bash/Python
