Job Title: Analyst I / Executive Assistant / 2026 – 2027 Intern Full Time or Part Time: Part Time Work Hours: This is a flexible, hybrid position requiring a commitment of 15 to 20 hours per week. Although much of the work is asynchronous, meaningful learning occurs through in‑person collaboration, meetings, and engagement with our team. Interns are expected to work from our Old Town Fairfax office two days per week, with scheduling coordinated around their class commitments. Our office is conveniently located near George Mason University’s Fairfax campus. Job Description: HC is seeking four interns to support client delivery and internal business operations. Interns will gain hands‑on experience across our core executive functions: delight our customers, run our business, care for our people, grow our company, modernize our processes, and protect our information. They will work with clients, collaborate with company leaders, conduct research, analyze information, improve processes, and help deliver measurable outcomes. Ideal candidates are college seniors graduating in May 2027 who are interested in careers supporting government agencies or the government contracting industry. This is a professional role. You will be responsible for achieving outcomes rather than working a traditional shift. This position is initially designated as Executive Assistant to the CEO ; however, all interns will gain experience across multiple areas of the company. Assignments may evolve based on business needs, individual strengths, interests, and demonstrated performance. Placement in this specific role is not guaranteed for the entire internship. Key Responsibilities: Support client delivery and internal projects; complete assigned tasks accurately, professionally, and on time. Conduct research, analyze information, and present clear findings and recommendations to company leaders. Collaborate with employees, clients, and fellow interns during meetings, working sessions, and activities Help improve business processes, tools, templates, records, and internal operations. Demonstrate initiative, accountability, judgment, and respect for sensitive company and client information. Support the CEO by coordinating priorities, preparing meeting materials, managing correspondence, and tracking commitments and follow-up actions. Conduct research and develop briefings, presentations, correspondence, and decision‑support materials for executive initiatives. Ensure the highest standards of product quality. Assist with special projects requiring coordination across clients, employees, partners, and company leaders. Support growth of the federal practice through business development activities. Qualifications: Must be a US Citizen. Must have completed a minimum of 85 college credit hours at an accredited university. Strong research, writing, and organizational skills. Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks. Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel); familiarity with CRM tools a plus. Capable of applying models and frameworks to help solve complex challenges. Must be in the Fairfax local area. Desired Skills and Abilities: Strong skills in presenting data visualizations and business infographics in PowerPoint. Previous experience with federal contracting and a base knowledge of defense and federal civilian agencies. The ability to deliver high‑quality, professional, accurate and timely products and deliverables with Microsoft Products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) is a must‑have skill. Exacting standards are applied to product quality. Schedule and Work Environment: 15 to 20 hours per week through a flexible, hybrid schedule combining in‑office collaboration with asynchronous work.
