Registered Nurse - Cardio Vascular ICU

We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse specialized in Cardio Vascular ICU to provide top-quality care for critically ill patients on a 12-hour day shift.

Contract Length: 12 weeks

Responsibilities:

• Interpret and manage dysrhythmias and multi-system organ failure
• Thermoregulation, CABG, and Intra-Aortic Balloon Pump management
• Care for patients with Impella, Post Cardiac Surgery preparation, and Pre/Post Cardiac Cath intervention
• Monitor Pulmonary Artery Line/Swan Ganz and manage Valve Replacement/Repair
• Perform CVVHD/CRRT, IV therapy, arterial line, and blood product administration
• Administer medications including cardiac and vasoactive drips
• Manage BiPAP, CPAP, ventilated patients, and high flow nasal cannula (HFNC)
• Interpret ABGs, perform suctioning, and manage ventilator settings
• Practice infection prevention and isolation precautions
• Oversee surgical wound care and utilize wound vac

Requirements:

• 3 years CV ICU experience, Must pass EKG test
• Active IL RN license, CPR, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications
• Proficiency in Epic, charge experience preferred
• Ability to float to Glenbrook MICU, Evanston ICU, or Highland Park ICU if needed
• Available to work every other weekend and Memorial Day
